Supplies for 4th of July Brownies
- 1 box brownie mix (19oz or larger)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 eggs
- 30 oreo sandwich cookies, divided
- 1/2 cup red, white & blue M&M candies
- 1/2 cup patriotic candy corn (like these, but they are MUCH less expensive in the store.)
How to Make Your 4th of July Brownies
Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 baking pan lightly with cooking spray.
Coarsely crush 20 of the Oreos and set aside. The easiest way I’ve found to do this is by putting the Oreos into a large sealable freezer bag and using a rolling pin to crush them.
Add the brownie mix, oil, water and eggs to a mixing bowl. Mix well.
Stir in crushed Oreos.
Pour into prepared pan and bake according to directions on the box.
When the brownies are finished baking, sprinkle the top with the rest of your crushed Oreo cookie pieces.
Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Enjoy your 4th of July brownies! I’m sure they will be a hit!
